Learned a lot about PixInsight processing this image. The data were captured over two evenings; one in August and the other in late October 2021. I used dnaLinearFit and GradientMergeMosaic (average) to blend the two together. Tried to drizzle the images but the result was way too noisy when it came to processing the blue channel - so back to the beginning without drizzling! My workflow for each panel was:
WBPP, DBE, PCC, EZ Noise Reduction, Masked Stretch, SCNR(G),DynamicAlignment,dnaLinearFit, GradientMergeMosaic.
R -> Ha
G -> Sii
B -> Oiii
and formed a new green channel from 0.8Ha + 0.2Oiii and recombined to make RGB again:
Sii - > R
NewGreen -> G
Oiii - B
I followed the workflow outlined here:
https://www.stastrophotography.com/tag/pixelmath/ (website appears to be down as I post this!) A little bit of HDRMultiScaleTransform to enhance the bigger structures. Then some EZ Star Reduction (Adam Block). Some final tweaks in Photoshop, but really not much!
